I do appreciate that the lack of individual hotel shuttles helps with traffic, especially as there are so many hotels near Heathrow, but you don’t need to pay £9 for the round-trip when there is a FREE option that can actually be faster. The Heathrow Express used to be the greatest ripoff at Heathrow, advertising 15 minute journeys to Central London (providing, of course, that you want to go to Paddington during the times of day the train runs frequently), but with outrageous pricing. Instead, there’s a common shuttle called the “ Hotel Hoppa” that has a few different routes to the local hotels. London’s Heathrow airport doesn’t allow the neighboring hotels to operate shuttles.
